Major Cyberattack on Iran’s Infrastructure Foiled
WANA (Apr 28) – Behzad Akbari, Iran’s Deputy Minister of Communications, announced in a tweet that a cyberattack targeting the country’s infrastructure had been detected and thwarted.
According to Akbari, the attack took place yesterday and targeted critical national infrastructure.
In his tweet, Akbari wrote: “Thanks to God’s grace and the efforts of the security and technical teams at the Telecommunication Infrastructure Company and the Ministry of Communications, one of the most widespread and sophisticated cyberattacks against the country’s infrastructure was identified yesterday, and preventive measures were taken.”
